A note about the artists:
Gina René, with her soulful vocals, melodic finesse and poetic wordplay combined with guitarist Travis Cruse’s R&B and Jazz-rooted skillfullness make for a rich, and emotionally evocative and inspirational musical experience.
Gina has been writing and recording since the age of 20 with her first band Soulstice (OM Records) with her producer brother Gabriel René and co-writing songs for films such as her single “U Must Be” Featured in Disney Buena Vista Films ‘Step Up’ and more. Besides appearing in the first season of Xfactor USA with her younger brother Chris René all the René’s share in the heritage of their grandfather Leon René being the first independent R&B label owner on the west coast and being the songwriter of classic hits such as “Rockin Robin”, “When the Swallows Come Back To Capistrano”, and “The late and great Louis Armstrong's theme song “When it’s Sleepytime Down South”.
