Olga Fuentes will be sharing her story of the power or representation in LGBTQ+ community organizing.

Joaquin Barreto will be sharing his story of the immigrant experience, community offerings for belonging

Carlos Palacios will be sharing his story of the history of landuse in Santa Cruz County and the impacts this has had on Watsonville.

Lightning Talks: 150 Years of Watsonville is an event by the City of Watsonville, Watsonville Public Library, Community Action Board with support by Santa Cruz MAH as part of a year long event series celebrating 150 year anniversary of the city of Watsonville.

Lightning Talks are a series of fast and visual presentations from local Santa Cruz County experts. Each event has a different theme. Each speaker presents for a maximum of five minutes. You’ll leave fascinated and inspired by diverse topics from neighbors right here in our county.
