Learn: Defining Migration: A Lecture and Discussion

What are the connections between ecology and migration?

Join interdisciplinary artist/facilitator and Executive Director of the New Urban Naturalists, Sasha Petrenko, for the first of two sessions examining the many facets of Migration.

These sessions will tackle questions like,  How does it feel to leave your homeland for a strange new country? How does the environment, natural and political, affect both human and animal migration, historically and today?

We'll explore the migratory patterns of mammals, insects, and people, and share personal journeys.

A collective work of new media poetry, (taking the form of a video) will be created from these sessions and will be presented publicly at the MAH.

No experience necessary. Just come with your stories of migration, curiosity and imagination.

Made possible in part by Nordic Naturals and MAH Members.
